Our Position - Revision of IR 2022/996

The Advanced Feedstocks Alliance is calling for a workable certification framework for intermediate crops and crops grown on severely degraded land, covering both EU production and imports, as part of the revision of RED III Implementing Regulation IR 2022/996:

• Certification that works in practice for both EU production and imports

• Alignment across Member State registration systems

• Access to CAP support for growers of these crops

• Realistic timelines for scaling grower adoption and infrastructure
